Council Member Order of Architects, Associate Professor, Iuav University Venice
He obtained a Master’s Degree in Architecture from the University Iuav of Venice and a PhD in Conservation of Architectural Heritage from the Polytechnic University of Milan.
Since 2009, he has served as an architect and public official at the Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape Superintendency (ABAP) for the Municipality of Venice and its Lagoon, where he was responsible for Demo-Ethno-Anthropological Heritage, as well as Education and Research. He acted as liaison officer for the Landscape Commission of the Municipality of Venice (2012–2017), for the UNESCO World Heritage SitesVenice and its Lagoon and The City of Vicenza and the Palladian Villas of the Veneto, for city events, and for matters concerning the occupation of public spaces. He also served as a member of the Bell Towers Commission at the Prefecture of Venice.
He has held appointments as Project Manager (RUP), designer, works supervisor, and inspector on behalf of the Italian Ministry of Culture (MiC) in the context of public restoration and conservation projects in Venice (National Marciana Library, Gallerie dell’Accademia, the bell towers of the Jesuits, San Geremia, and Santo Stefano; the churches of San Zaccaria, the Carmini, and the Jesuits), in Quarto d’Altino (National Museum and Archaeological Area), and in Aquileia (National Archaeological Museum).
Since 2021, he has been Associate Professor at the University Iuav of Venice (ICAR 19 – Architectural Restoration), where he conducts research and teaching activities. He is the author of more than one hundred scientific publications on the historic built environment of Venice, Cultural Heritage, and climate change.
